1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing tryhostkit.com ("the Site") or purchasing any HostKit product, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use our Site or purchase our products. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and customers.
2. Products and Licenses
HostKit sells digital products including Excel workbooks (.xlsx files), PDF documents, and associated written content (collectively, "Products"). Upon completing a purchase, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Product for your own personal or business use.
You may:
- Download and use the Product on multiple personal devices
- Print PDF products for personal use
- Share Products with members of your immediate hosting team (co-host, property manager, cleaning staff who work directly on your property)
- Modify the Excel workbook inputs for your personal use
You may not:
- Resell, redistribute, or sublicense the Products to third parties
- Share Products publicly (on websites, file-sharing services, social media, etc.)
- Use Products to create competing products or services
- Remove copyright notices or attributions
- Claim authorship of HostKit content
Property management companies or coaches who wish to use our Products across multiple clients should contact us at hello@tryhostkit.com to discuss a team license.
3. Payment and Pricing
All prices are listed in US Dollars (USD). Payments are processed securely through Gumroad. We accept major credit cards and PayPal. Prices are subject to change without notice; however, price changes will not affect completed purchases.
4. Refund Policy
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on all Products. If you are not satisfied with your purchase for any reason, email us at hello@tryhostkit.com with "Refund Request" in the subject line within 30 days of purchase. We will issue a full refund with no questions asked.
Refunds are processed through Gumroad and typically appear on your original payment method within 5–10 business days.
5. Digital Delivery
Products are delivered digitally via Gumroad immediately after purchase. You will receive an email with a download link. You may also access your purchase history and re-download Products at any time by logging into your Gumroad account at app.gumroad.com. HostKit is not responsible for incorrect email addresses provided during purchase.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
HostKit Products are provided for informational and educational purposes only. They do not constitute financial, legal, tax, or investment advice. The STR Profit Dashboard, STR Tax Prep Guide, and Dynamic Pricing Workbook are tools to help you organize and understand your own information — they are not a substitute for professional advice from a licensed CPA, financial advisor, or attorney.
HostKit makes no warranty that the Products will meet your specific requirements or that results described in marketing materials will be achieved. Results vary based on individual property, market conditions, and implementation.
THE PRODUCTS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HOSTKIT DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, HostKit and its owners, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Products or Site. Our total liability for any claim arising from a Product purchase shall not exceed the amount you paid for that Product.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on the Site and in the Products — including text, templates, layouts, formulas, graphics, and design — is the intellectual property of HostKit and is protected by copyright law. Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or creation of derivative works is prohibited.
9. Affiliate Program
HostKit operates an affiliate program through Gumroad. Affiliates are subject to additional terms provided at the time of application. Affiliates must comply with applicable advertising disclosure laws (including FTC guidelines) and must not make false or misleading claims about our Products. We reserve the right to terminate any affiliate partnership for violations of these rules or our affiliate terms.
10. User Conduct
You agree not to use the Site or Products to: violate any applicable law or regulation; infringe the rights of any third party; transmit any harmful, offensive, or fraudulent content; or engage in any conduct that restricts or inhibits others' use of the Site.
11. Third-Party Services
Our Site and checkout process use third-party services including Gumroad (payments), Kit/ConvertKit (email), and Netlify (hosting). Your use of these services is governed by their respective terms of service and privacy policies. HostKit is not responsible for the actions or policies of these third parties.
12. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the Site. Your continued use of the Site or Products after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when changes are made.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of our Products shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in a court of competent jurisdiction, as applicable.
